Regal Princess

Princess Cruises has launched the Regal Princess in May, 2014! This summer the Regal will be sailing in the Mediterranean before moving to the Caribbean this fall. The Regal is the sister ship to the new Royal Princess which was launched last year to great reviews. The Regal is 140,000 tons and has a capacity of 3,560 passengers. (in comparison the Grand Princess is 116,000 tons).

The ship has the Princess popular offering of Theatre Under the Stars, a revamped adults only Sanctuary, and the new SeaWalk! The ship offers traditional dining and “anytime dining”, as well as Sabatini’s and Crown Grill, Princess’ specialty restaurants. There are casual eateries serving from pizza to sushi!

The Regal will be sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale this winter with 7 day sailings to the eastern Caribbean. One thing I like about the Regal’s itinerary is that is has three sea days instead of the typical two found on most Caribbean 7 day cruises.

The Regal will be sailing from Venice to Fort Lauderdale on her maiden Transatlantic cruise. She will be leaving Venice on October 17, 2014, for the 17 day sailing. This would be an excellent time to get to know this beautiful new ship.

Just as the Royal Princess received great reviews, we would expect nothing less from the Regal Princess!

My Top Ten Cruise Destinations

We really enjoy taking a cruise! Over the past 10 years we have about 300 days on the water! My Top ten cruise destinations would include:

2 – Antarctic cruise
3 – Baltic/Northern Europe cruise
4 – Panama Canal cruise
5 – Alaska cruise
6 – Transpacific cruise Northern route
7 – Mediterranean cruise
